I’m domestically obligated to post anything that has the word ‘Blap’ in it. It’s a London fing.
Though admittedly, I think I’ve slept on New Jersey producer Illmind (frequent collaborator with cats from Justus League such as Little Brother, aswell as Strange Fruit Project and Symbolyc One a.k.a. S1) and only now fully awoken. On the juxtaposing side of things, he’s also in-house producer for 50 Cent and the other Guerillas. Versatile geezer.
A conspicuously West Coast exodus on this impressive instrumental LP with emphasis on skillful sequencing, P-Funk distilled richness, blunt-burning bass grooves, thick kicks and whirling, psychedelic keyboard nuances that’d create thirst for a 40 ounce. To put it frankly, The Game’s new (lackluster) endeavor ‘L.A.X.’ was in grave need of Illmind (he’ll never exceed the ‘The Documentary’ in my opinion).
Oh & he’s also a Pilipino; I’m aware how proud the Philly amigos I know get when they’ve a representative in, well, any sector. Hol’ tight my thriller in Manilas, this one’s for you.
